A little bit about me.....
Professionally:I am currently in secondary education, teaching English to freshman and juniors in high school. I am actively involved in the school leadership roles including: advising Student Government, coordinating ACT preparatory classes, and aligning curriculum and benchmarks with Common Core Standards.
On the technology side of things I participate in many professional development opportunities through and outside of the school district, including online curriculum and design training, flipped classroom training, and edCamp Milwaukee. I am also a representative for district teachers on the district eTeam and social media integration team.
Throughout the school building I am proactive about teachers using technology. I share resources and knowledge to those teachers who are implementing new curriculum or programs. I actively seek opportunities where I can help a teacher improve their knowledge and use of technology in the classroom. Some of these interactions are formal and include district wide PD on Smart Notebook and Schoology use.
Personally:
I've lived in various cities throughout Wisconsin for my entire life. I am a Badger at heart and enjoy spending as much time outdoors as I can, in the warmer weather that is. I have been actively involved with the Wisconsin golf community since my youth, and played for the Badgers in college. I've continued that tradition by working in the summers for the Wisconsin State Golf Association as the TJ Boatwright intern for the women's state organization. In the colder months I spend my time reading as much material as I can.
